The Stylish Choice
The days of chunky, unflattering plastic windows are gone.
You'll get stylishly slim good looks when you choose windows, doors and conservatories that use the REHAU 70mm system.
The REHAU 70mm system is the ideal replacement for traditional British timber casements as the 70mm depth allows for the replacement of 3" timber frames with less trimming up.
A number of window types are available in REHAU S706 70mm, including internally and externally glazed Casements, Bay and Bow.
70mm profiles are available in both chamfered and sculptured with matching single leg beads to provide easy but secure on-site glazing.
The main key features & benefits of the REHAU 70mm system are:
- The profiles are triple chamber, which therefore ensures good thermal insulation.
- 70mm profiles have more internal space enabling larger, more efficiently designed reinforcement to be fitted. This therefore allows for larger windows to be manufactured due to the additional strength/rigidity needed.
- Choice of finishes available; REHAU White, Mahogany or Golden Oak wood effect laminated foil.
- Saves on installation and fabrication time.
- Manufactured in accordance with BS7413 and is BBA approved.
- Document L compliant
No wonder it's the preferred choice of so many people when specifying a conservatory or replacing windows.

Excellent Thermal Insulation Saves Money
PVC-U is a very poor conductor of heat and therefore makes an excellent insulator. In the construction industry, a material's U-value measures its ability to insulate, with the lower the value, the better the insulant.
A typical old single glazed window has a U-value of maybe 4.4 W/m²K. REHAU frames have been tested and proven to have a U-value of 2.0 W/m²K meaning our frames keep in nearly 60% more heat than typical older frames.
This conserves energy and more importantly saves you money on your heating bill.
|
Sound Insulation
Under test, double glazed windows made with REHAU profiles achieve a rating of 30dB to 30dB (decibels). Typical ambient sound measures around 60dB in suburban conditions, so the windows in a REHAU conservatory will more than halve the noise, allowing you to relax undisturbed.
|
Trickle Ventilation
All REHAU conservatories feature trickle ventilation mechanisms via air channels in the frame. These allow ventilation without compromising security and allow any water vapour to be quickly dissipated. |

Standards & Security |
|
|
In addition to in-house tests, all REHAU systems are tested by independent bodies such as the British Standards Institute (BSI) and the British Board of Agrement (BBA)
Quality control is paramount with all factories operating to EN ISO 9001 (formerly BS 5750).
REHAU conservatory systems comply with all the recommendations of the Glass and Glazing Federation.
They also satisfy the imposed loads defined by British Standard CP3 Chapter V Part 2 and BS 6399 Part 3.
Safety and Security
With a high percentage of burglaries committed by opportunists on easy targets, no home owner nowadays can afford to neglect basic security precautions. With REHAU systems, you can choose your own level of security to incorporate the latest locking systems.
REHAU fabricators and installers will be able to provide you with details on a full range of security systems.
Toughened glass (complying with British Standard) is used for all glazing under 800mm from floor level for extra strength and for your peace of mind. |
